Involved with the Transfer Mentor Program and a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member, she's previously worked as a journalist for Dallas Innovates<\/em> and as an intern on a mayoral campaign in Dallas. Preston has previously volunteered with Journey of Hope, a grief support center in Dallas. Additionally, she's independently traveled, volunteered, and gained insights in 27 countries around the world. She's now pursuing a Master\u2019s in Public Policy at UT Dallas.
