Dallas-based Mynd Immersive aims to redefine the future of aging in Texas and beyond through the company’s “connection-boosting” Great American Elderverse virtual reality experiences. Now the company is expanding its technology to senior living and skilled nursing communities across the state Texas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In partnership with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation, Lyda Hill Philanthropies, AT&T, and Select Rehabilitation, Mynd Immersive is offering VR experiences designed to “reduce loneliness, anxiety, stress, and cognitive decline while restoring joy, movement, and connection for aging adults.”<\/p>\n

“Lyda Hill represents the gold standard in science-driven philanthropy,” Chris Brickler, CEO and co-founder of Mynd Immersive, said in a statement. “We’re honored to work alongside her to bring dignity, engagement, and digital care access to our exploding population of aging adults. With our new global HQ at 3000 Pegasus Park, the future of aging is taking shape in Texas\u2014grounded in science, compassion, and access.”<\/p>\n

Nationwide rollout planned<\/h3>\n

Mynd Immersive said its partnership with Select Rehabilitation, one of the nation\u2019s largest and most innovative contract therapy providers, will speed the deployment of MyndXR, the company\u2019s flagship therapeutic platform powered by AT&T 5G, across more than 500 senior living communities nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

This expansion represents a milestone in the evolution of immersive healthcare, the company said, by bringing AI-powered, spatial computing directly into physical, occupational, and speech therapy workflows. <\/span><\/p>\n

The rollout will provide access to Mynd\u2019s technology to over 150,000 residents in nearly 40 states, delivering clinically informed immersive experiences designed to help reduce pain, anxiety, and stress, accelerate functional gains, and improve adherence and overall patient satisfaction, the company said.<\/span><\/p>\n

First Texas recipient is Umphress Terrace in Dallas \u00a0<\/h3>\n

Umphress Terrace is the first community in Texas to receive the MyndXR technology. A nonprofit, HUD-supported senior living community in southeast Dallas, Umphress Terrace is part of the CC Young family of communities, which provide affordable housing and supportive services for older adults.<\/p>\n

A Stanford University study found that over 80% of older adults using Mynd Immersive reported improved mood, and more than 90% said the platform strengthened relationships with caregivers. A separate CMS-funded data set across 34 senior communities in Indiana showed that 91% of seniors experienced a reduction in social isolation.<\/p>\n

Designed for enjoyment, cognitive stimulation, and therapy<\/h3>\n

Mynd Immersive’s Great American Elderverse debuted at the 2024 CES<\/a> event in Las Vegas. The platform then launched in 60 low-income senior communities in the New York\/New Jersey\/Connecticut tri-state area later that year.<\/p>\n

The program equips senior care communities with lightweight VR headsets, AI-assisted care tools, tablets, and a growing library of therapeutic content designed specifically for older adults. Experiences range from immersive travel\u2014like cruising down Route 66\u2014to live cultural events, reminiscence therapy, cognitive stimulation, guided mindfulness, and interactive applications created to enhance physical, occupational, and speech therapy in partnership with Select Rehabilitation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mynd Immersive said that senior living and skilled nursing communities in Texas and Colorado are now invited to apply for participation in the Elderverse.<\/p>\n

‘Using technology to foster deeper human connections for those who need it most’<\/h3>\n

Mynd Immersive aims to link spatial computing, AI, and connected healthcare to usher in “a new generation of evidence-based therapeutics that positively impact physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.”<\/p>\n

Through partnerships with Select Rehabilitation, AT&T and a growing number of content partners, Mynd said that it’s committed to delivering innovative, clinically validated treatments at scale. The company has collaborated with Stanford University, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to build one of the largest datasets of clinical efficacy in the world. \u00a0<\/p>\n

“We believe that connecting changes everything, and by enabling immersive therapeutics with our secure, reliable 5G, we’re helping older adults experience and engage with technology in a safe and comforting manner,” Joe Drygas, president of AT&T Healthcare, said in a statement. “This collaboration is about more than just technology.
